Access to No 3 Commonhall Apartment

We would like to extend a warm welcome to you all and thank you for choosing to stay at Commonhall Apartments.

Smoke Alarms are fitted throughout the building.

Arrival

On our web site www.chesterholiday.com click on location, this will show you a map of where Commonhall Street is. The Apartment is situated at the very end of this street. You will see the gate with 2 black letter boxes, above these letter boxes there is a black key safe

Lift the tab (at the top of the safe) up & pull forward at the same time, this will pull off the rubber cover to reveal the key pad, punch in the code (which will be given to you on prior to arrival) and pull down the top black button in the middle of the key pad. This will release the front of the safe. Inside take the key marked apartment 3. Pull down the button marked clear (lower middle button) punch in the code again hold down the top middle button again & put the safe back into it's place, also replace the rubber cover.

This key will open the gate(if it is dark the lights will come on automatically), walk up the covered hallway, turn right up the external stairs, walk across the walkway to the door (same key will open this) on entering there is a light switch located to the right hand side wall, take care as there is 1 step down, then climb short stair to landing, up another short stair to landing & final short stair to top landing. Door on left is your apartment marked with (3) same key will open it

When inside the apartment is all on the one level.

Lighting

Main lighting for all rooms is controlled by switches just inside each doorway. In the interest of helping the environment and saving energy we would be grateful if you could minimise the number of lights left on.

Kitchen

A fire extinguisher and fire blanket are provided.

Bedrooms

There are 2 double bedrooms in Apartment 3. In the bigger there are bedside lamps on each side of the bed and in the smaller although you can access from each side of the bed there is an overhead shelf with bedside lamp, for your ease of access the lamp can be controlled by a switch located on the wall below the shelf.

Living Room

There is additional lighting from a stand alone lamp between the fireplace and couch. This is operated by a switch on the floor beside the lamp, simply press down on the switch to turn off & on.

Heating

The apartment is thermostatically controlled and preset, if however you need more heat the thermostat is wall mounted located in the hallway. You can increase the temperature by pushing the ^ button to the desired temperature. In the interests of helping the environment and saving energy we would be grateful if you can turn down the thermostat on leaving the property or when you have the desired temperature.

Guide Dogs

We welcome guide dogs but no other pets are allowed.

Smoking

We are a non-smoking home. As the smoke alarms are fitted throughout the building also please refrain from smoking in the hallways.

Waste

When leaving please put all rubbish from the bins in the black bin bag provided under the sink. Please remove this from the apartment and place it in the bin store. This is located at the bottom of the external stairway in the small brick shed (key in door)

Parking

Parking is available outside the gate for 30minutes maximum to off load. You can then park in Sealand Road park & ride for free, with £1.50 return on the courtesy bus. This bus runs from 7am to 7pm every 10 minutes. It will drop you off at the back of the town hall just around the corner from the building.

Pepper Street has a NCP car park. You can park in this for £9/ 24 hours. It closes at 11pm and opens again at 7am. This although more expensive is within 5mins walking.
